National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar is a prestigious institution of national importance, hosting a large academic community across classrooms, laboratories, hostels, administrative buildings, and expansive outdoor spaces. With continuous movement of students, faculty, staff, and visitors, the institute required a robust, high-resolution surveillance infrastructure to ensure safety, visibility, and centralized control across the campus.

Impulse was entrusted with designing and deploying a scalable IP-based CCTV solution capable of delivering reliable performance in both indoor and outdoor environments while supporting future expansion.

Impulse implemented a comprehensive IP surveillance architecture using high-performance network cameras and centralized recording systems, tailored specifically for the campus environment.

Indoor Surveillance

For interior spaces, Impulse deployed 5 MP Fixed Dome Cameras across corridors, classrooms, offices, and common areas. These cameras deliver sharp, high-resolution imaging with wide-angle coverage, enabling continuous monitoring while blending seamlessly into indoor environments.

Outdoor & Perimeter Surveillance

To secure outdoor pathways, building exteriors, and boundary zones, 5 MP Fixed Bullet Cameras were installed. Engineered for outdoor reliability, these cameras provide consistent image clarity in diverse lighting and weather conditions, ensuring dependable perimeter security throughout the year.

Wide-Area & Critical Zone Monitoring

For expansive areas and high-priority locations such as main gates and open grounds, Impulse deployed 5 MP PTZ Cameras. With pan-tilt-zoom capabilities, these cameras enable dynamic tracking, remote control, and wide-area surveillance, allowing security teams to actively monitor movement and respond swiftly to developing situations.

Centralized Video Management

All surveillance feeds are managed and recorded through an enterprise-grade Network Video Recorder (NVR). The NVR enables centralized live monitoring, high-capacity video storage, and efficient playback, giving administrators complete control over campus-wide surveillance operations.
