Optimized Security Management with Impulse at FSL Mauritius
FSL Mauritius, a premier forensic and scientific institution, required a robust surveillance solution to monitor sensitive areas, secure its perimeter, and streamline security operations across its premises. The project called for high-resolution cameras, intelligent detection, centralized monitoring, and future-ready scalability. Solution Deployed
5MP Motorized IR Dome Camera
For indoor surveillance across laboratories, corridors, and sensitive access points, Impulse CCTV deployed the 5MP Motorized IR Dome Camera. This high-performance motorized dome camera features a 1/2.7” progressive scan CMOS sensor and 3D DNR for crisp video at 2592 × 1944 resolution. With a 50-meter IR range and up to 30fps recording, it delivers reliable 24/7 visibility in low-light environments.
5MP Motorized Varifocal Network Bullet Camera
To secure the facility’s perimeter and outdoor zones, the 5MP Motorized Varifocal Network Bullet Camera motorized bullet camera was chosen. Its motorized varifocal lens enables flexible field-of-view adjustment, while WDR and motion detection deliver clear footage in challenging lighting conditions. With quad-streaming support and built-in analytics, it enhances threat detection around external boundaries.
PTZ Network Camera
To enable dynamic, wide-area monitoring and real-time tracking, PTZ cameras from the LX Series were deployed. These cameras offer pan, tilt, and zoom control for detailed inspection of expansive outdoor areas, bolstering perimeter security and response capabilities.
Video Management System PRO (PROVMS)
Centralized monitoring and system control were enabled using VMS PRO (PROVMS) — an enterprise-grade Video Management System (VMS) that acts as the command center for the entire surveillance network. Designed for intuitive use, VMS PRO supports intelligent modules, flexible configurations, and remote access for both on-site and mobile monitoring, allowing security teams to efficiently manage and respond to incidents.
Outcome
The deployment of Impulse CCTV’s 5MP Motorized IR Dome Camera and 5MP Motorized Varifocal Network Bullet Camera provided high-resolution, clear surveillance across all critical areas, day and night.
The PTZ cameras from the LX Series boosted dynamic monitoring and greatly improved the ability to track and control events across wide outdoor areas.
VMS PRO (PROVMS) delivered a centralized platform for real-time viewing, recording management, and rapid incident response, enhancing overall situational awareness and operational efficiency.
